Think twice. I paid a premium to transport my eight-week-old puppy from the Howick area to Barrydale. I chose this much more expensive option specifically because I was told she would be collected on Sunday morning and delivered on Monday afternoon/evening. With such a young puppy, I was prepared to pay significantly more to minimise her travel time.
Instead, the communication and timing changed constantly.
On collection day we were initially told around 10/11am, then afternoon, then 3–4pm. The breeder was later told around 6pm. My puppy was eventually only collected at approximately 11pm.
Once the journey started, expected departure times and routing continued to change, with conflicting information.
I do appreciate that they provided live location and sent photographs of my puppy, and I am not suggesting she was mistreated.
The most unacceptable part for me was a message the driver sent to the customer WhatsApp group saying that the “next person to complain will be blocked up until delivery”.
These were paying customers whose pets were physically in his care. People were anxious because information kept changing. Threatening to block clients from communication while transporting their animals because they ask questions or complain is incredibly unprofessional.
Had I known the actual likely journey and routing, I would have chosen a different option I already had available.
Unfortunately, based on the poor communication, constantly changing information and the way customer concerns were handled, I cannot recommend them.
