Extremely disappointed and honestly shocked by my experience with Ntombela Mthokozisi Kwazi from Digital Movement Group Pty Ltd.
I engaged them for a transport job after agreeing on the price and collection terms. From there, the entire process became a nightmare.
The trailer was meant to be collected on Saturday, then Monday, but was only eventually collected on Wednesday — and even then, I had to run around arranging and booking my own trailer to make the job happen.
When it came time to return the trailer from Hilton, KZN, back to Johannesburg, the situation got even worse. He refused to return the trailer unless more money was paid. I paid part of the additional amount and sent proof of payment from FNB, including the reference details.
At 1:30am, I received a call saying the money was not reflecting, despite proof of payment being provided. The trailer was not delivered, which resulted in the trailer company charging me for an additional day.
When I eventually said I would arrange for another transport company, he then refused to release or return the trailer. Only after I made it clear that I would consider laying a case for theft did he suddenly change his position and tell me I could collect the trailer myself, 32km away from where I was based.
I then requested a refund for the failed service. This was refused, with the explanation that the money was for his “effort and hard work,” despite the job not being completed as agreed.
In my view, this was completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and dishonest conduct. I have now lodged a case with FNB and will be pursuing the matter further through the correct channels.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone against using Digital Movement Group Pty Ltd.
